APF seize illegally imported garments worth Rs 8 million in Siraha

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: A team of the Armed Police Force (AFP) has seized garments worth Rs 8 million brought illegally from India from Tarapatti of Siraha Municipality-18, Siraha.

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: A team of the Armed Police Force (AFP) has seized garments worth Rs 8 million brought illegally from India from Tarapatti of Siraha Municipality-18, Siraha.


Armed Police DSP and Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa said that the team deployed from APF Battalion-7 and Border Out Post (BOP) Gadigadiya seized 78 packets of garments.

It remains uncertain when and for what purpose these garments were concealed within a shed owned by local residents.


Thapa said that the seized garments have been handed over to the revenue investigation office, Itahari, for necessary investigation.
