Army Chief Thapa goes into self-quarantine

Chief of Nepal Army, General Purna Chandara Thapa has gone into self-quarantine. General Thapa has quarantined himself after a cook at the army chief’s residence tested positive for COVID-19.

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Chief of Nepal Army, General Purna Chandara Thapa has gone into self-quarantine. General Thapa has quarantined himself after a cook at the army chief’s residence tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the public relations directorate of Nepal Army, Thapa has been staying in quarantine since Sunday morning following the directives and criteria issued by the Ministry of Health and Population. “He is staying in self-quarantine with full health safety awareness,” reads a statement by the directorate.
