Arrest warrant issued against ‘Prasad 2’ director Thapa and editor Shrestha

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Arrest warrants have been issued against director Sudarshan Thapa and editor Milan Shrestha in connection with the controversy of the film 'Prasad 2'. Police sources stated that the search for them is currently underway.

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Arrest warrants have been issued against director Sudarshan Thapa and editor Milan Shrestha in connection with the controversy of the film 'Prasad 2'. Police sources stated that the search for them is currently underway.


Producers Sudarshan Basnet and Jack Shrestha filed a complaint of fraud and betrayal at the District Police Range, Kathmandu on July 26, saying that they had cheated the film by screening the film in the country and abroad without their permission.

OSR Digital Director Om Prakash Agarwal, Director Thapa and Editor Shrestha have been made opponents in the complaint. According to the complaint, Agarwal was arrested by the police on Friday from Durbar Marg. The court has granted permission to detain him for four days for further investigation.
