KATHMANDU, May 14: An arrest warrant has been issued against Pratik Thapa, son of Ram Bahadur Thapa, on the charge of being involved in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
An arrest warrant was issued against Pratik Thapa on Sunday. According to the police, the arrest warrant was issued against him after finding evidence showing his involvement in the fake refugee scam.

After the news was published linking Pratik's name to the fake refugee scam, he had previously issued a statement and objected to his name being linked.
Along with that, he also said that he would help in the investigation.
Former home minister Bal Krishna Khand, former home secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Indrajit Rai etc have already been arrested in the fake refugees scam. Suspended UML secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and Niraj Rai, son of Indrajit Rai, who have been issued arrest warrants, are absconding.
