KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The 20 people arrested in the Lalita Niwas land-grab scam will remain in custody for another seven days.
District Court Kathmandu has allowed the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police to keep them in custody for one more week.

The CIB has issued arrest warrants against 406 people and is investigating the case under organized crime. The police have arrested several persons accused of being involved in the scam and kept them under investigation.
In this case, Bhat-bhateni supermarket owner Min Bahadur Gurung, former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah and 20 people are currently in custody of the CIB.
