Lalita Niwas scam: Accused remanded into judicial custody for five more days

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Kathmandu District Court has allowed the accused in the Lalita Niwas land-grab scam to be detained for another five days.

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Kathmandu District Court has allowed the accused in the Lalita Niwas land-grab scam to be detained for another five days.


Judge Dayaram Dhakal's bench has allowed 17 people, including Communications Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, Bhatbhateni Supermarket owner Min Bahadur Gurung, to be detained in custody for five more days for investigation.

Even earlier, the court allowed seven days for the first time, seven days for the second time and five days for a third time now.
