Aryal appointed press advisor to PM

KATHMANDU, March 27: Associate Professor Kundan Aryal was appointed the press advisor to Prime Minister K P Oli on Monday. A cabinet meeting decided to appoint Aryal to the post.

KATHMANDU, March 27: Associate Professor Kundan Aryal was appointed the press advisor to Prime Minister K P Oli on Monday. A cabinet meeting decided to appoint Aryal to the post.

Aryal is an associate professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Tribhuvan University (TU) and has a PhD on the transition of the Nepali print media. Aryal is the first person to have a PhD in journalism from TU. He has worked for various media houses in different positions in his two decades of journalism career and was appointed the chairman of the state-owned Nepal Television and a member of the Mass Media Policy Drafting Committee. 


Meanwhile, Achyut Mainali was appointed the pubic relations adviser to Prime Minister Oli on Monday. UML leader Mainali had contested parliamentary elections from Bara district.
