Australian ambassador White calls on PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Australian ambassador to Nepal Glenn White today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar.

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Australian ambassador to Nepal Glenn White today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar.



During the meeting, White is said to have congratulated and wished Dahal a successful tenure as PM.



In response, Prime Minister Dahal said that Nepal's relations with Australia would be strengthened further, said a statement issued by the PM Secretariat.



He also briefed White that Nepal has got an inclusive, democratic and progressive constitution and that the government was actively working to ensure its acceptability and implementation.



The statement said that the government was on the way to conclude the peace process in a unique way and he expected cooperation from the Australian government for the post-quake reconstructions and economic prosperity of Nepal.



Also, White mentioned a cordial and friendly relationship between Australia and Nepal, expressing hope this relations would further expand during PM Dahal's term in office. RSS
