PHUNGLING, Feb 7: Flights at the Suketar Airport in Taplejung district have been continuously obstructed today due to bad weather conditions and snowfall, according to the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC). As a result, flights to and from the district have been canceled, stranding 14 passengers who booked tickets for Kathmandu, said Lokendra Limbu, station in-charge of the NAC in Taplejung.
Foggy weather disrupts flights at TIA
On Friday, flights at the airport were obstructed due to the deposition of snow on the runway, he said. The NAC has been operating flights from the airport three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
