Bagmati CM Jamkattel falls ill, airlifted to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, May 7: Shalikram Jamkattel, the chief minister of Bagmati Province has been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment after falling ill.

KATHMANDU, May 7: Shalikram Jamkattel, the chief minister of Bagmati Province has been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment after falling ill.


He became unwell while visiting a water supply project inauguration at Manthali-3 in Ramechhap.

He was airlifted to Kathmandu after experiencing symptoms of low blood pressure and oxygen levels at a location called Khalte in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality, Ramechhap.


Earlier, CM Jamkattel received treatment at Atmiya Community Hospital in Sindhuli. A source said that due to his low pulse and oxygen levels, doctors instructed an airlift to Kathmandu for further treatment.


CM Jamkattel mentioned feeling unwell earlier in the morning, but decided to proceed with his journey by car to attend the scheduled event.
