KATHMANDU, Dec 17: The Bagmati Province government has enforced a new rule, allowing vehicle owners to get renewal of their vehicles for up to five years.

The provincial Transport Management Service Office (TMSO) has come up with the new rule, providing an option to the vehicle owners, targeting to reduce their hassles. As of now, the vehicles need to get renewal only on an annual basis.

According to TMSO, vehicle owners renewing their vehicles for five years have to pay the tax of five years at the existing tax rate. Similarly, they will also get a 10 percent waiver on the five years’ tax amount.

The purchase of a third party insurance policy of one year is mandatory while getting renewal for five years.
