KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The seventh meeting of the Bagmati Province Assembly is resuming today.
According to the Provincial Assembly secretariat, the meeting is beginning at 1PM.
Meeting of Bagmati Province Assembly postponed
Sanu Kumar Shrestha, the assembly speaker, called the meeting this afternoon after holding a discussion with Chief Minister Dormani Poudel and other assembly members of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on Thursday, according to Principle Secretary at the assembly secretariat, Krishna Hari Khadka.
Earlier, as many as 45 lawmakers close to the Dahal-Nepal faction of NCP had registered a no-confidence motion against CM Poudel. Following the development, speaker Shrestha had suspended the assembly meeting until further notice. The no-confidence motion is being tabled at the Provincial Assembly meeting today .
