Bagmati Province spent only 15.78 percent of the allocated budget in the first half of current FY

KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Bagmati Province spent Rs 11.19 billion in the first half of the current fiscal year. The expense amount was only 15.78 percent of Rs 70.93 billion allocated for the current fiscal year.

According to the Province Financial Comptroller Office, Hetauda, the provincial government collected revenue of Rs 16.15 billion during mid-July and mid-January. The amount was only 70 percent of the revenue collected in the same period last year. In the review period of 2021/22, the provincial government collected Rs 23 billion in revenue while it spent only Rs 8 billion.
