KATHMANDU, Feb 2: The land-grab case involving Bansbari Leather and Shoes Factory came to light after the publication of a book called Hridaya, which is authored by senior heart surgeon Dr Bhagwan Koirala.
In the book published on September 10, 2022 Dr Koirala has written, 'When I went there (Gangalal National Heart Center) in 2001, the land in the name of the then Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory had been scattered.

The land inside the main compound had come under the possession of the heart center. Of the land on the south side, 10 ropanis went to the name of the then champion shoe factory.' This is how this scandal surfaced.
In this case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has already arrested the industrialist Arun Chaudhary and the then Executive Chairman of the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory, Ajit Narayan Singh Thapa.
