The government formed an investigation committee yesterday after the issue of leasing 10 ropanis of land to the Batas group was dragged into the controversy.

On Thursday, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale said that the process of removing Batas Group from the Narayanhiti Palace Museum will be taken forward. “The whole environment of the museum can be ruined if the people who take the museum on lease change with a change in the people in power. Thus, we will remove the group either from the ministerial decision or through the Cabinet,” said Ale.

An investigation committee has been formed under the direction of Tourism Minister Prem Bahadur Ale under the coordination of Home Ministry Joint Secretary Hom Prasad Luintel.
