Bhaktapur police launch campaign to control untoward activities during festivals

BHAKTAPUR, Sept 22: The Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur has launched a door-to-door campaign in a bid to create awareness and curb any unwanted activities during festivals like Dashain and Tihar.

BHAKTAPUR, Sept 22: The Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur has launched a door-to-door campaign in a bid to create awareness and curb any unwanted activities during festivals like Dashain and Tihar. 


The range and its subordinate offices including Police Circle Thimi, and Jagati have joined their hands in this regard, Superintendent of Police Kiran Bajracharya said.

"Criminal activities like looting and burglary and gambling could take place during the festivals. So the campaign has been launched to control these activities," he said. 


Under the campaign, details of households will be collected and local people will be asked to inform police if they see any suspicious and strange person in the village.


Likewise, police will distribute brochures and pamphlets and give their emergency telephone numbers to local people. RSS
