Bharatpur Hospital makes 400 beds available for free to patients

BHARATPUR, Aug 19: The Bharatpur Hospital has made 400 general beds of the Outpatient Department (OPD) service free.


As per the directive of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the hospital has made available the free beds services from August 18. 


Issuing a statement on Thursday, the Spokesperson at Bharatpur Hospital, Senior Physician Dr Govinda Kandel informed that the hospital started providing beds for free as per the directives of the MoHP.

He shared that minimum service charge, however, has been kept as it was for critical care (ICU, CCU, PICU and NICU), post-operative ward, cabin, HDU, spine, cardiac, neurosurgery and orthopedic ward.


The hospital now has 600 beds. The OPD service tickets are also free in the hospital.


Patients from across the country turn up to receive treatment at Bharatpur hospital.


Information Officer Gopal Poudel shared that 1,500 to 2,000 patients a day are visiting the hospital for treatment of late.
