KATHMANDU, Feb 10: The first general convention of Bibeksheel Sajha Party is starting today. The convention was inaugurated at 10AM today at Nepal academy Hall in Kathmandu.
Leader Milan Pandey said that from this convention, a prudent and common new group will move forward. According to him, preparations have been made for the convention by forming a five-member election committee. The committee includes party Chairperson Samiksha Baskota, then coordinator Milan Pandey, leaders Keshav Dahal, Ranju Darshana and Ramesh Paudel.

Leaders who left the party after parting ways with the then party leader Rabindra Mishra have become active for the convention. When the then chairperson Rabindra Mishra brought a proposal called 'Country Above Thoughts (Bichar Vanda Mathi Desh)', some leaders of Bibeksheel Sajha opposed it. After that, Milan Pandey was expelled as an ordinary member of the party for doing activities contrary to the party constitution and the decisions of the central committee and for continuously absenting himself from the central committee meetings.
After leaving Bibeksheel Sajha on May 25, 2022, Mishra joined Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) on June 26. Milan Pandey, who contested from Bibeksheel Sajha, was defeated in the November 20 elections, while Ranju Darshana, who contested as an independent candidate, was also defeated.
The party said that leaders of other parties have also been invited for the opening program of the convention. Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Baburam Bhattarai who is also a former Prime Minister, Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma, CPN (Maoist Center) Vice Chairman Pampha Bhusal, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, CPN (Unified Socialist) Party Leader Ghanshyam Bhusal, Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut, Nepal Sushashan Party Chairman Ramesh Kharel and others are invited to the convention.
On the other hand, the party has not invited former chairperson Rabindra Mishra to the convention.
