KATHMANDU: Though making movies based on biographies are not much in practice in the Nepali film industry, director Milan Chams has made an effort to break with the tradition with ‘Blind Rocks’ based on Shristi KC’s life story. Actor Benisha Hamal plays the lead role in the film.
‘Blind Rocks’ depicts the true story of KC, who is rendered blind at the age of 16 because of wrong prescription of eye drops by the doctor. She, however, embraces her newly found reality and makes the truth the light of her life. Film is about no one knows what the future beholds.

Despite being disabled and discriminated by the society, one’s family's optimism can get them back to being confident and independent. As a line the movie says, "When I lost my sight I got the vision of my life".
Hamal has done a tremendous job with her portrayal of KC, from being a young school girl to an adult, she has succeed in gripping the audience’s attention. Similarly, prominent actor Gauri Malla has justified her role in the film. Arpan Thapa, in his supporting role, has also given a noteworthy performance.
