Border sealed off to intensify search for stolen crown of Chinnamasta goddess

SAPTARI, August 2: A huge number of police personnel have been mobilized in the district following the theft of the goddess crown (Mukut) made up of silver from Chinnamasta Sakhadeswori temple in Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality of Saptari.

SAPTARI, August 2: A huge number of police personnel have been mobilized in the district following the theft of the goddess crown (Mukut) made up of silver from Chinnamasta Sakhadeswori temple in Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality of Saptari. 


The silver-made precious crown was stolen at around 7:15 PM on Sunday. Chief District Officer Jayanarayan Acharya, Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Dhamala and DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle had reached the site shortly after the news of the theft came to the public..

Officials at the District Administration Office (DAO) in Sapitari said the border area of the district including the temple site has been sealed off in order to intensify the search.
