Buddha Air to begin Pokhara-Nepalgunj direct flights from August 1

KATHMANDU, July 23: Buddha Air, the private sector-led flight service provider, is set to operate direct flights between Pokhara and Nepalgunj.

KATHMANDU, July 23: Buddha Air, the private sector-led flight service provider, is set to operate direct flights between Pokhara and Nepalgunj.


The private sector company that has been expanding its flight services to province level is operating direct flight from Pokhara to Nepalgunj from August 1. In the beginning, three fights will be operated on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday over a week.

The Buddha Air is planning to gradually increase number of flights as per the demand of passengers. The flight services from tourism city, Pokhara, to Nepalgunj would benefit the people of both the cities and also contribute to the promotion of tourism opportunities, shared market director of Buddha Air, Rupesh Joshi.


Joshi expressed his confidence that the flight service would also help increase tourism activities towards the Bardiya National Park and Karnali Chisapani- which are in the proximity of Nepalgunj. Nepalgunj residents could also enjoy the scenic beauty of lakes and mountains located in panoramic city, Pokhara with the operation of two-way flights. The flight service is also expected to attract tourists from Indian cities, Luknow and Kanpur – which are close to Nepalgunj.
