ROLPA, Sept 22: Five people were killed when a passenger bus met with an accident near Kyangsi Bagar located in Bhume Rural Municipality Ward No 3 Tirkhola in Rukum East on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, five people including a child and a woman died in the bus accident.
Two killed in road accident in Rukum East
District Police Chief Prakash Dangi said that 12 people were injured in the accident. Among the injured, seven people are in serious condition. According to him, the bus fell down about 100 meters from the road. The dead have not been identified yet. According to the police, the details of the accident are yet to come.
Rescue operations are still underway at the accident site. The injured are being treated at District Hospital, Rukum East. It is assumed that the accident took place after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
