CHITWAN, Feb 5: Health and Population Minister Padam Giri has asked journalists to use their pen against corruption.


At a program organized here today on the occasion of the 25th founding day of Press Chautari Nepal, he said, 'Use your pen as a bomb and a flood against corruption.'

He said that now the country's only issue is economic prosperity. He said that it is necessary to move the country on the path of prosperity by demolishing the wall of corruption that is an obstacle to ending poverty.


"We have to break the wall of corruption and take the country on the path of good governance," he said, "The time has come to develop and move forward in the manufacturing sector for development and prosperity." Minister Giri said that there have been many major political changes in the country, adding that the journalists’ pen should be used according to the changing times.


Urging journalists to wield their pen with courage and in favor of change, he insisted that journalists should be responsible for their news and lead society on the path of improvement.
