KATHMANDU, June 23: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the Cabinet will be reshuffled in a few hours today. According to sources, while discussing the Cabinet reshuffle in the secretariat meeting on Thursday morning, Chairman Nepal had said that the Cabinet reshuffle would take place in a few hours.

The statement was made after party leaders put pressure on Chairman Nepal to immediately reshuffle the Cabinet. According to Deputy General Secretary Dr Gangalal Tuladhar of the party, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had stopped the party's decision by making excuses which had given a bad message to the party cadres.

Earlier, the party had recommended PM Deuba to appoint State Minister of Health Bhawani Khapung as a full-fledged minister and to reshuffle the four ministries.

Meanwhile, PM Deuba and CPN (Maoist Center) have been telling the CPN (Unified Socialist) to wait before shuffling the ministries. The party’s secretariat meeting was held on Wednesday and Thursday. A meeting of the party’s politburo and central council meeting has been called for 11PM Friday.
