Chairman Nepal calls Secretariat meeting after PM asks names of ministerial candidates from his party

KATHMANDU, March 29: After Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal  asked for the name of the minister for cabinet expansion, CPN (United Socialist) Chairman  Madhav Kumar Nepal called an emergency Secretariat meeting of the party.

KATHMANDU, March 29: After Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal  asked for the name of the minister for cabinet expansion, CPN (United Socialist) Chairman  Madhav Kumar Nepal called an emergency Secretariat meeting of the party.


Chairman Dahal, who is holding responsibility of 16 ministries for over a month now, is preparing to administer oath of office and secrecy to a few ministers on Wednesday. He is preparing to administer the oath of office and secrecy to ministers as agreed among ruling parties. 


After Prime Minister Dahal asked to give the name even if it was only one person, Chairman Nepal called a secretariat meeting in Alok Nagar. The names of Prakash Jwala and Dhan Bahadur Budha along with Vice Chairman Beduram Bhusal from Unified Socialist are among the possible candidates for ministers from Unified Socialist.

The meeting is going to recommend the names of three people as much as possible. But Dahal has prepared to give two ministers and one province minister to socialist. Socialist  is claiming three ministers including a deputy prime minister.


Head of Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada said that the central secretariat meeting held on Tuesday concluded that the party should get at least three ministries including the Deputy Prime Minister in the government.
