Calling NTB CEO Regmi a bull, Minister Ale said, "Don't even dream of buying my honesty"

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that he will not sell his honesty to remain in the minister's chair. He made the comment while speaking on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of Nepal Tourism Board on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that he will not sell his honesty to remain in the minister's chair. He made the comment while speaking on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of Nepal Tourism Board on Friday.


He even lamented that Dhananjay Regmi, the CEO of the board, who is currently under investigation, tried to buy his honesty by selling Toyota vehicles.

Minister Ale said that Nepal was disgraced at the World Tourism Fair in the UK because of CEO Regmi. He also argued that the organization cannot run smoothly when its CEO gets drunk and creates a ruckus. He termed CEO Regmi as a bull and warned him not to even dream of buying his honesty.


Minister Ale said that he had heard from the board that Rs 8 million had been spent on the WTM program and demanded an investigation. He said that since all the food expenses were borne by him, the expenses should be investigated and action should be taken.


Minister Ale also instructed all the employees to work responsibly.
