SAURAHA (CHITWAN), Sept 27: Bhuwan Mahato, the Regional Head of Cherish Nepal Foundation, has been elected as the vice chairperson of the Tharu Welfare Assembly, securing an impressive 45% votes out of 8000 Tharu Community members in an election held on September 21.
Mahato expressed his gratitude to the Tharu community for their overwhelming support and trust in his leadership. “It is with immense gratitude that I acknowledge the overwhelming support of the Tharu community in this election. I firmly believe that the effectiveness and trust fostered by the Cherish Nepal Foundation’s work have been instrumental in building a strong rapport with the Tharu people. Cherish Nepal Foundation’s commitment to community development, empowerment, and inclusive initiatives has resonated with Tharu people," he said in a press statement issued by Cherish Nepal Foundation.
