Chiang Mai to host ACC U16

KATHMANDU, March 15: Chiang Mai, a city in northern Thailand, has been finalized as the venue for Asian Cricket Council (ACC) U-16 Eastern Region. Defending champion Nepal will start its campaign to retain the trophy against Myanmar on April 20 at the Prem Tinsulanonda School cricket ground.

Similarly, the group B matches will be played in Royal Chiang Mai Golf Club. ACC had announced the fixtures of the age-level cricket tournament on its official website in January. Home team Thailand and Malaysia are the other two teams in the group A.


Similarly, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Bhutan comprise the group B of the U-16 marquee event which runs till April 28. The tournament will be played in the 35-overs per side format.
