Chinese artists' delegation calls on PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: A Chinese artists' delegation today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at latter's official residence at Baluwatar and handed him the portraits of him and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

KATHMANDU, Dec 6: A Chinese artists' delegation today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at latter's official residence at Baluwatar and handed him the portraits of him and Chinese President Xi Jinping. 


The portraits have been painted from photographs of Dahal and Xi taken by a Chinese artist in the course of the bilateral meeting between the two leaders during the recently held BRICS Summit in Goa, India.

Receiving the Images, PM Dahal said he has been influenced by Chinese art and the present has added to the relations between Nepal and China, said PM's private secretariat. 

He also said such act of art and culture is always welcome step that would develop people-to-people relations between the two countries, the secretariat said. 


The delegation also apprised PM Dahal of a documentary being produced that incorporates historical issue of Nepal and Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha. RSS
