Chuman elected Maoist Centre's PP leader in Gandaki province assembly

KASKI, Jan 2: Hari Bahadur Chuman has been unanimously elected as the Gandaki province Parliamentary Party (PP) leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre).


A PP meeting of the Maoist Center held on Sunday evening elected Chuman as the PP leader of the Gandaki Province, shared party's Gandaki Province Chairperson Gayatri Gurung. Chuman was directly elected from Tanahun constituency 1(2). Senior-most member Krishna Dhital chaired the meeting that elected Chuman the parliamentary party leader unopposed, Gurung further said.

It may be noted that the Maoist Centre had won eight seats including five under the direct election system and three under the proportional representation system in Gandaki Province.


Earlier, Chuman had served as the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of the Gandaki Province.
