KATHMANDU, June 9: The committee formed to search for land and movable assets of Tribhuvan University (TU) has officially started its work. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said that the committee started its work today.
The government formed the committee to search for land and movable assets that are in the name of Tribhuvan University (TU) within the Kathmandu Valley on May 31 under the coordination of former government secretary Sharada Prasad Trital.
Govt forms committee to search properties of TU
The committee will conduct a study, investigation, and examination of the land owned by TU in various locations, focusing initially on the land within the valley. It will also gather information and conduct an inventory of buildings and other movable and immovable assets. The committee will then prepare a comprehensive report with concrete recommendations for the protection, utilization, management, and any other necessary action.
Former joint secretaries Mahendra Kumar Thapa and Janaki Ballabh Adhikari were appointed as members of the committee, alongside TU's expert member, Prof Dr Prem Sagar Chapagain.
