Constitution amendment bill was tabled in consensus: PM Dahal

CHITWAN, Jan 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the constitution amendment bill was tabled in parliament with the consent of the main opposition, CPN-UML. The bill was tabled on Sunday.

CHITWAN, Jan 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the constitution amendment bill was tabled in parliament with the consent of the main opposition, CPN-UML. The bill was tabled on Sunday. 



In a press meet organized by the Press Centre Chitwan, PM Dahal shared that the bill was forwarded forging a kind of consensus with UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli in this connection. 



He said they readied to forward the bill in an 'agree to disagree' modality, adding that it was internationally practiced modality. 



He further ruled out the rumor that the bill was tabled forcibly. 



Prime Minister Dahal shared that they were prepared to forward the process after holding discussions. He stressed on consensus among the political parties and that serious discussions were held with UML Chair Oli regarding it as well. 



He further shared that they agreed to go for elections forging consensus in various issues. 



On another note, Prime Minister Dahal added that he will not leave the chair without completing mission, saying that time was not important but issues and missions were important to him. He assured that he will not break the agreement. RSS
