COVID-19: 7,135 recoveries, 185 deaths reported on Monday

KATHMANDU, May 24: Officials in the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed as many as 7,425 new cases of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours as of Monday afternoon. With 7,220 patients being diagnosed for the disease through RT-PCR tests and 205 others through the antigen method, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has jumped to 520,461.

With 7,220 patients being diagnosed for the disease through RT-PCR tests and 205 others through the antigen method, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has jumped to 520,461.

Meanwhile, 7,135 people got over the deadly disease on Monday taking the country's recovery rate to 76.6 percent. As many as 185 people, however, died of the corona infection. Nepal has so far reported a total of 6,531 fatalities linked with COVID-19 infection since May 16, 2020. 


As many as 115,447 people are undergoing treatment for the disease at various isolation centers, the ministry said.
