CPN assigns provinces to forward district committee merger process

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has assigned its respective Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, Chairpersons and Secretaries to carry out the unification process of their respective district committees.

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has assigned its respective Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, Chairpersons and Secretaries to carry out the unification process of their respective district committees. 


In a circulation issued by Prime Minister and CPN Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and another Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, it was shared that the respective Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, Chairpersons and Secretaries have been asked to call for meetings for the district committees unification until the provincial committees would get completion. 


The Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, Chairpersons and Secretaries have been assigned to carry out the merger process of the respective district committees based on their Party's statute, regulations and directives and the recommendations furnished in the past. 


Furthermore, the circulation reads that Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, respective Chairpersons and Secretaries have been entrusted with the responsibility for the unification of all the units under the district committees and operate them.

Moreover, they have been assigned to merge the properties of the Party and the respective Party's units and to maintain the ledger among others. 


The then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) had entered into a merger to Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) on May 17 this year. 


The circulation also stated that the unification of party memberships, update of the archives and holding cadres assembly and other orientation programmes, mobilization of the party's forces for the development works and constructive activities among others have been assigned to the Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, Chairpersons and Secretaries in their respective district committees. 


The respective district committees Chairpersons have been asked to contact the CPN Central Secretaries in case of the glitches at policy level. 


The CPN Central Office would soon send the predetermined criteria for those willing to enter CPN and district committees' office bearers and members, the circulation reads. 


The meeting of the CPN Secretariat on Friday had entrusted Provincial In-charge, Deputy In-Charge, respective Chairpersons and Secretaries with their respective responsibilities. 


The circulation also informed that the taskforce formed for the unification of the provincial level, district level and sister organizations have been dissolved with this notice.
