KATHMANDU, March 15: The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) is preparing to appeal for a review of the verdict issued by the Supreme Court (SC) to revive the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist) and CPN (MC), scrapping the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

The party will soon knock the apex court’s door asking for review against the latter’s order to revive the two parties -- CPN (UML) and CPN (MC) --- which merged into NCP in 2018. The NCP, was, however, scraped through the same order as its name clashed with Rishi Kattel’s Nepal Communist Party.

“We have decided to expedite a series of dialogues and discussions with the major political parties regarding this scenario,” said Narayan Kaji Shrestha, a leader of the party after the party’s central committee meeting held at Paris Danda on Monday.

According to Shrestha, as many as 20 leaders delivered their views during today’s meeting. Party’s central committee meeting has been put off for some days as the leaders are scheduled to visit provinces and districts.
