CPN-MC emerge victorious at Gothichaur rural municipality

JUMLA, May 15: CPN Maoist Center's candidate Hari Bahadur Bhandari has been elected the Chairperson of Gothichaur rural municipality.

JUMLA, May 15: CPN Maoist Centre's candidate Hari Bahadur Bhandari has been elected the Chairperson of Gothichaur rural municipality. 


Bhandari is the first victorious chairperson in the election held under province number 6. He received 1,596 out of total 3,966 votes cast in the rural municipality, shared Election Officer Mohan Sagar Basyal.

His nearest rival Kshyatra Bahadur Bhandari of CPN-UML received 1,467 votes. 

Likewise, Janudevi Ady of CPN-MC emerged victorious to the post of vice-chairperson at Gothichaur. 


CPN-UML candidates Ganesh Ady, Prithvi Bahadur Budha and Prem Bahadur Budha were elected chairperson of ward number 1, 2 and 3, respectively. 

Jag Prasad Jaishi and Chandra Bahadur Nepali of CPN-MC became chairperson of ward number 4 and 5, according to Election Officer Basyal. 


There were a total of 4,823 voters in the rural municipality. RSS
