The CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) has not been assigned the election symbol by the Election Commission as the party is not represented in the parliament. But the candidates contesting in the local level election would be vying for different local level offices as independents.

In a press release he issued today, party chairman Mohan Baidya said although the party has not taken part in the local level election, it has adopted the policy of supporting the Patriotic People's Republican Front Nepal. He has urged the workers, peasants, women, dalits, and the people of the indigenous nationalities, Madhesi, the backward region and intellectuals to vote the Front's candidates. RSS
