The CPN-UML demands that the government prepare to form a parliamentary probe committee to investigate gold smuggling. It has been said that the parliament meeting will not be allowed to proceed until this demand is met as per the agreement made in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee called by Speaker Devraj Ghimire.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat issued a notice on Tuesday and scheduled the meeting of the House of Representatives for August 7 at 1PM.

The CPN-UML has demanded that a separate parliamentary probe committee be formed to conduct investigation into the case of 100 kg gold smuggled on July 18. With this demand, the CPN-UML has not allowed the meeting of the House of Representatives to proceed since July 26.
