CPN (Unified Socialist) will get 2 million votes: Madhav Kumar Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that his party would get as high as 2 million votes in the upcoming general elections under the proportional electoral system.

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that his party would get as high as 2 million votes in the upcoming general elections under the proportional electoral system.  


Addressing a political gathering organized by Muslim Ittehad Organization on Saturday, former Prime Minister Nepal argued that his party has won the people's trust in a very short span of the party's establishment. He added that the party was formed to wage a struggle for the poor and against suppression.

Saying that his party got one million votes in the recently held local level elections, he asked the party leaders and cadres to join the election campaigns with confidence. 


On the occasion, Chairman Nepal defended the five-party alliance stating that it was formed for the country's development. 


Chairman Nepal also said that the local governments and province governments should take special campaigns to provide an access to education to the girl students.
