Crowds gather to pay final tribute to late Minister, Rabindra Adhikari

KATHMANDU, March 1: Political leaders and citizens came together to pay final tribute to the body of late Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari at Exhibition Center, Pokhara.

KATHMANDU, March 1: Political leaders and citizens came together to pay final tribute to the body of late Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari at Exhibition Center, Pokhara.


The Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Ishwor Pokhrel, chief minister of Gandaki province, Prithvi Subba Gurung, Minister Gokarna Bista, spokesperson of NCP, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Bamdev Gautam, Rajan Bhattarai were among the many leaders who paid final tribute to Adhikari. Many, still are awaiting their turns.

Adhikari will be cremated at Ramghat with state honours. The late minister was one of the seven killed in an air crash at Taplejung on Wednesday. 


Those deceased included Birendra Shrestha, Deputy Director General at Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN), under-secretary Yubaraj Dahal, Chairman of Yeti Airlines Ang Chhirng Sherpa, Regional Director of CAAN Dhruba Das Bhochhibhoya and pilot Prabhakar KC and bodyguard of the late Minister, Arjun Ghimire.


Earlier, President Bidya Bhandari and Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun also paid final tribute to the bodies of the deceased at Nepal Army Pavilion, Tudikhel.
