KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has postponed his scheduled visit to China, citing ongoing treatment of Prime Minister KP Oli.
A team of senior NCP leaders was scheduled to leave for China on December 10 at the invitation Chinese President Xi Jinping.

A member of Chairman Dahal’s personal secretariat confirmed that the proposed visit of NCP leaders was put off for the time being. Chairman Dahal had decided to put off the visit after concluding that it was not good to leave for China when Prime Minister Oli is undergoing treatment.
The NCP delegation led by Chairman Dahal is said to comprise of a total 60 members. Party sources however said an official decision to this effect has not been taken yet. As per the six-point agreement reached earlier between NCP and Chinese CPC some two months ago, all 445 central committee members of the NCP would make exposure visit to China in two year time.
