Dahal wins Open Body Building C’ship

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Ram Bahadur Dahal won the Open Body Building Championship held at the Heritage Garden in Lalitpur on Sunday. He was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 500,000.

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: Ram Bahadur Dahal won the Open Body Building Championship held at the Heritage Garden in Lalitpur on Sunday. He was rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 500,000.  


Marichman Lama and Lalit Dhimal were adjudged second and third places respectively.  Lama bagged a purse of Rs 250,000 and Dhimal got Rs 200,000.

National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timalsina, after handing over the trophy and prizes to the winners, lauded the game saying, “Bodybuilding is a disciplined sport.”


He also expressed hope that the sport will produce more players who are disciplined and mannered.

He was of the view that the government should invest more in the development of sports. 


“Players have worked hard in the sports sector. Their performances shine the country’s name,” he added. 


The championship was organized by the Helping Camp Social Club.
