He has been using the vehicle, Bhe 1 Ja 184, for the past eight years. There are no documents of the vehicle. Police did not take any action despite knowing this.

A local leader, on condition of anonymity, said that even after reporting to the traffic chief in Dailekh and Surkhet about the illegal vehicle, they didn’t pay attention.

Traffic police have been accused of being hand-in-glove with Regmi. However, despite the vehicle being seized in Surkhet earlier, Regmi misused his power to get it released. He keeps coming to Surkhet 2-3 times every month, but the traffic police do not interrupt as if they don’t see him in the illegal vehicle.

Dr Regmi has also admitted that the vehicle has no documents. "Since there is no other vehicle, we are using this vehicle." Dr Regmi said, "Now that the budget for a new vehicle has arrived, we are preparing to buy one this year."
