DAO Kathmandu urges one and all to avoid public celebrations including Holi

KATHMANDU, March 5: District Administration Office, Kathmandu urged the people not to organize or join in public celebrations including Holi to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, March 5: District Administration Office, Kathmandu urged the people not to organize or join in public celebrations including Holi to prevent the spread of coronavirus.


Issuing a public notice on Thursday, the DAO Kathmandu asked one and all to avoid public gatherings such as fairs, festivals and assemblies owing to the viral outbreak of coronavirus which was originated in China.

"As Nepal has been placed under a highly vulnerable zone to the virus by the World Health Organization (WHO), it's requested one and all not to hold or attend any public gathering," reads the notice posted on the official website of the local administration.


Earlier on Sunday, the government had urged one and all to avoid public gatherings including conferences, assemblies and feasts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
