Dead body of a woman found in Dhanusha

JANAKPURDHAM, June 17: A woman’s dead body was found in Mithila Municipality, Dhanusha on Sunday.

JANAKPURDHAM, June 17: A woman’s dead body was found in Mithila Municipality, Dhanusha on Sunday. 


The body of the woman, who went missing from Mahendranagar on June 8, was thrown near a river bank of Mithila Municipality’s community forest. Spokesman for Dhanusha Police Ranjan Awale stated, “The corpse, which was thrown near the river bank recklessly, was identified as that of Rubi Yadav, a 27-year-old resident of Shrireswornath Municipality-5, Dhanusha.”

Police officials at the Area Police Office, Sakhuwaa, claimed that her husband Raju Yadav was allegedly involved in her murder. Based on his confession of her murder,  police officials arrested Raju on Thursday. 


The official said, “ Ruby’s husband, Raju filed a complaint on June 8, 2024 stating that Ruby did not return home since Thursday morning. After Dhanusha Police found out about the suspicious incident, they started close monitoring against Raju.


According to the police, the neighbors claimed Raju as the person behind the murder. 


Raju confessed to the crime after he was taken into custody. SP Awale stated that Ruby’s husband took her to Aurahi Baba’s temple and murdered her instantaneously on June 8, 2024. “Further investigation is currently underway,” Awale said.


Ruby’s dead body has been sent for postmortem to the Provincial Hospital Janakpur.
