SARLAHI, June 19: The dead body of a woman has been found in Laukath, Barahathawa Municipality -12, Sarlahi.
According to the District Police Office, the woman was murdered.

District Police Office Spokesperson DSP Deepak Shrestha said that the woman has been identified as Lilawati Devi Mahato. Shankar Mahato, the murdered woman’s husband, confirmed the identification.
The body was found one and a half kilometers farther, on a farmfield.
As there were blue marks all over the woman’s neck and face, her husband and his second wife have been arrested suspecting their involvement in the murder. Further investigation into the murder is underway.
