RAUTAHAT, May 11: In a chilling case of human brutality, the dead body of a man has been found with its head detached from the torso in Sarlahi district on Thursday.
According to police sources, the incident happened in Haripur Municipality of Sarlahi.
Baitadi villages under threat of leopard menace
The District Police Office, Sarlahi, said that the head of the body was found some 25 meters away from the torso, some 500 meters from the Pathra Bridge, Haripurwa Municipality.
After learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot for investigation. It was revealed that the deceased was Shekhar Suman, son of Ram Babu Mahato, about 28 years old, of Sonbarsa Gram Panchayat Ward -9, Bihar, India.
DSP Kailash Rai, information officer of the District Police Office, Sarlahi, informed Republica that the body of the deceased has been sent to Malangwa Provincial Hospital for a post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
