Death toll in Parbat landslide climbs to eight, one still missing

POKHARA, June 14: The number of people losing their lives in a landslide in Durlung, Parbat reached eight on Sunday afternoon.

POKHARA, June 14: The number of people losing their lives in a landslide in Durlung, Parbat reached eight on Sunday afternoon.


The bodies of three more people who were  missing in the landslide have been discovered. They are Samrat Thapa, Bibek Thapa and Pramashi BK.

Earlier this morning the bodies of Dipa Thapa and Kamala BK were found buried in landslide debris and bodies of Tul Bahadur Thapa, Man Kumari Thapa and Bibisha Thapa were found on Saturday evening.


So far eight dead bodies have been recovered and one is still missing (Janesh BK).


The people losing lives in the landslide are learnt to be members of two families, Tul Bahadur Thapa’s and Kamala BK’s whose houses were buried by the landslide.
