Hearing on case against PM Dahal starts at Justice Khatiwada's bench

KATHMANDU, March 10: Hearing on a writ petition filed against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Supreme Court has started. Petitioners’ lawyers have started making their arguments before a single bench of Justice Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada.

Fourteen people including advocate Gyanendra Raj Aran and Chiranjeevi Giri filed separate writ petitions against Dahal. On the petition of 14 people including Aran, the debate has started today. They filed a writ petition based on Dahal's speech at an open forum in Kathmandu on January 15, 2020. At that time, Dahal said that he would take the responsibility for 5,000 people who were killed during the conflict.
