'Democratic alliance capable of changing nation's fate'

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Bikram Bahadur Thapa, has called on the people to vote for the Nepali Congress-led democratic alliance in the election to see according to him economic development and prosperity in the country.

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Bikram Bahadur Thapa, has called on the people to vote for the Nepali Congress-led democratic alliance in the election to see according to him economic development and prosperity in the country. 


In his address to a joint election assembly organised by the democratic alliance at Balaju, the part of Kathmandu constituency-7 today, Minister Thapa who represents the Rastriya Prajatantra Party in the NC-led coalition government claimed the democratic force had plans and vision for changing the nation's fate by the means of economic development.

He further insisted on the need of the alliance's victory to see social transformation in the country by institutionalising achievements of various movements. 


Stating that survivors of far-flung areas of the constituency had been still deprived of the compensation announced (Rs 300 thousands) by the government, he pledged to take initiations to ensure the distribution of monetary assistance to them as soon as possible. 


There are a total of 57,588 voters in the constituency that comprises the wards 16,17,18 and 25 of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, wards 3, 4 and 5 of the Tarakeshwor Municipality and wards 1,2 and 3 of the Nagarjun Municipality. RSS
